This site is undergoing construction, or perhaps more appropriately, “active remodeling”. In keeping with the concept of continuous quality improvement, I have opened the doors so you can see the transition. The old site will be up for awhile, but the anticipated discontinuation date is January 1, 2013.
Greetings, and welcome to the new home of CYTOPATHNET®! My name is Jana Sullinger, MD, and I am the Founder and Creator of CYTOPATHNET® and The Populist Cytologist blog, and recently, The GYN Pathologist blog. I have developed and maintained CYTOPATHNET® for many years, and have elected to change things up a bit, and try a somewhat different format for the main website. My intent is to continue to provide timely information regarding cytology (or for those of you who prefer, cytopathology) on a frequent basis in a user friendly format, that will be of interest to those in the field, primarily cytotechnologists, cytopathologists, and pathologists. Students will also find some useful information, as well as nurse practitioners, OB-GYNs, physician assistants, and anyone else who has the urge.
I will continue blogging about recent articles in cytology regarding cytology quality improvement (assessment), evidence-based pathology, and cytology practice guidelines on The Populist Cytologist. Stay tuned for interesting cytology cases, glossary of terms, and discussion about the Bethesda System for cervical cytology and thyroid cytology. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with requests for topics to be discussed, or if you have an interest in submitting a Guest Post. I not only hope you enjoy CYTOPATHNET®, but The Populist Cytologist as well, and if you find it of interest, please be sure to tell others.
