Over 40 Years Experience Cytotechnologist, Anatomical Pathology Laboratory and Billing Manager, Medical Billing Consultant and CLIA ‘88 Consultant, and Published Author

ANATOMICAL PATHOLOGY LABORATORY AND BILLING MANAGEMENT:
Trained at Parkland School of Cytology - Dallas, Texas, 1964-1965, and ASCP registered in 1966, Registry #01338. Became the Cytology Teaching Supervisor at Parkland School of Cytology and then went on to manage several major anatomical pathology laboratories in Dallas. Established a new anatomical pathology laboratory. Developed procedure manuals to comply with regulations, designed requisition and report forms. Converted manual reporting systems to computerized. Managed a variety of laboratory billing systems. Currently employed as a Cytology Supervisor and operates a consulting firm based in Gilmer, Texas.
MEDICAL BILLING AND CLIA ‘88 CONSULTANT:
Was the pathology consultant for a major medical billing company and provided services to hospital and independent laboratories, individual physicians, and groups and departments of major university medical centers. Interpreted federal regulations for Medicare billing. Currently provides CPT coding and CLIA ‘88 consultations.
PRESENTER:
Seminars and workshops for Cytology and Histology CLIA '88 compliance are presented to professional organizations.
PUBLISHED AUTHOR:
Author of two manuals for CLIA '88 compliance - Cytology Quality Control and Quality Assurance Manual and Histology Quality Control and Quality Assurance Manual, Desktop published for two years and conducted national advertising campaign. Currently available from Visible Productions.

Prior editor of several professional organization’s newsletter.
