In coordination with the United States Preventative Health Services Task Force, the American Cancer Society, the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the American Society for Clinical Pathology have opened public comments on their draft recommendations for cervical cancer screening and the role of molecular testing, made available on October 19, 2011.

The ACS-ASCCP-ASCP draft recommendations and survey forms will be available for 3 weeks, until Wednesday, November 9. The USPHSTF draft recommendations will be available for 4 weeks. Public comments will be discussed at the Cervical Cancer Screening and Prevention: The Role of Molecular Testing Symposium to be held at the National Institutes of Health Neurosciences Center in Rockville, Maryland on November 17-19, 2011(external link).
